plastic free

plastic free, Refills, rural, zero waste

What's your recipe?

what recipe is in your jar?

Did you know that you can make your own recipe in a jar at Re? Because you buy loose produce, you can simply get what you want. We’ve done Christmas cakes, flapjacks, muesli and granolas among others!

If you’re coming along to Towcester Farmer’s Market OR the shop you can leave your containers with us for filling.

And if you have specific things for a recipe, it can all go in one jar - spices, sugar, flour, seeds, nuts and fruit! So bring along your favourite all in one recipe and fill to order :)

Introduction time!

We’re in our third week! It seems like no time ago that we had a building site on our hands, and an awful lot of empty containers to fill. We’ve managed to restore the old Salvation Army hall to it’s high-ceilinged glory, which has worked brilliantly with the rows of refills.

It’s been incredible to meet so many of you over the last few weeks - and to see so many containers coming to be refilled. Every single one of them has likely saved a single use plastic bag. It’s incredibly satisfying: we had popcorn for the first time in ages: we had a 25kg sack, which decanted into the dispensers, then into our tub and was turned into olive oil sale & vinegar popcorn. Not a single piece of plastic waste. We did feel just a little bit pleased with ourselves!!

Hope to see you soon.
