Coffee shop and plastic free refills

Bring a container, fill it with what you want, in the quantities you want. Tare weight scales do the work for you - no writing down numbers or calculator needed. Your job is to choose what you want, and pop it into your container. Or have a cuppa, whilst we do it for you!

Not everything in Re is in our online shop. But it gives you a good idea of the type of things we have. Please don’t assume it’s all we have though! New things come in all the time and it’s always worth checking.

Our beautiful shop is in an old Salvation Army building, right in the heart of Flore

fair trade, organic, high quality

Pesticides and chemicals in foods are ‘standard’. That means we need to spell out that ours are predominantly fair trade, organic, and don’t contain additives and nasties. Some products - like the apple juice and honey - are local. Most of all, our products don’t create landfill, and they also help reduce food waste by you being able to purchase the quantities you want. We also don’t make you feel you need to buy more than you want by making less quantity more expensive - or by disguising tiny amounts in huge packets. Nor do we sell you flashy packaging with essentials in. See what you’re getting, and get it in quantities that work for you - that’s the essence of refill shops!

Pop in for a browse - Lindsay, Lindsey, Navneet and Sharon are always happy to show folks around if they’d like.

Why the mix?

When Lindsay grew up in Flore there were several shops. By the time we opened Re, there was just one. So we went belt & braces and incorporated a coffee shop. So many people don’t have cars, or always want to leave the village, just to meet their friends for a coffee. So we created that space.

a new chapter in Flore’s story

Re is in Flore’s old Salvation Army building. Before us, it housed the village hairdresser for about 50 years. We removed a false ceiling, revealing fantastic original ceiling boards - ideal to create our beautiful space, and perfect for our dispensers.

We live in Flore, where Lindsay grew up, and we started the shop here, in 2019, because - why not? We’ve got outdoor space, a community, and a beautiful building. Plus free parking right outside, a post office next door, and a village green right opposite. We wanted to provide choice, away from supermarkets and convenience stores - to pause, have a cup of great coffee, and get high quality food. Even before Covid, Lindsay was adamant that we should have the shop where people lived, not where was visited, like in contermporary town centres.
